Hi, I'm James Batty, Director of Toorak Builders.
We're a small family-owned building company specializing in high-quality renovations, extensions and custom homes across Perth.
We don't chase volume or try to build dozens of homes at once.
Instead, we focus on doing a smaller number of projects exceptionally well.
As we've grown, I'm looking for someone who shares that same mindset—someone who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail and wants to help build a company they're proud to be part of.
This isn't just another carpentry job.
You'll work closely with me and our General Manager to lead our in-house carpentry team, mentor apprentices and deliver renovations that both our clients and our team can be proud of.
About you:
We're looking for someone who:
Can run a carpentry team.
Has strong renovation experience (essential).
Has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
Leads by example and enjoys mentoring apprentices.
Is organized, reliable and communicates well.




Takes ownership of projects rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Wants to grow with a business for the long term.
