DescriptionThe NHMRC funded CRE in Optimising Care in the Home for Older Australians commenced in February **** to develop and translate evidence-based strategies to enable older Australians to remain living safely at home for as long as possible.
The purpose of this scholarship is to enable an Indigenous student to undertake a program of study that will contribute to the CRE research initiatives to improve home care for older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
BenefitsThe scholarship is valued at $53,000 per annum for up to four years for a doctorate by research.
EligibilityTo be eligible for consideration for the award of the Centre of Research Excellence in Optimising Care in the Home for Older Australians Indigenous Scholarship, applicants must:
be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
be accepted as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which they lived; and
be currently admitted or be eligible for admission and have applied for admission, to a higher degree by research at Flinders University.
