The Opportunity
The UWA Aquatic Centre is seeking enthusiastic school leavers aged 16+ to train as swim teachers.
You'll receive full support while completing your practical training, gain valuable real-world experience, build confidence, and help children learn to swim—an important life skill—all while earning an income.
About You
We're looking for individuals with:
A positive attitude and a genuine interest in working with children.
Confidence in speaking and giving clear instructions
A willingness to learn and build new skills.
No previous swimming teaching experience is required – full training and support will be provided.
Getting Started
Before starting,



make sure you have the following qualifications (or are working towards them):
Enrol in and complete a recognised Swim Instructor course (Austswim, Royal Life Saving, SWIM Australia)
Obtain your other qualifications (National Police Clearance, WWC, First Aid and CPR)

Training Sessions
