About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and capable Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a major Defence infrastructure project.
Working closely with Project Managers, clients and key stakeholders, you will assist with project planning, coordination, reporting and delivery across multiple workstreams.
The role is primarily based at our Perth office, with work undertaken at HMAS Stirling as required.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their project management experience while contributing to a significant infrastructure project in a collaborative and outcomes-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Support the planning, coordination and delivery of project activities
Assist with the preparation of project documentation, reports, schedules and updates
Monitor project timelines, actions, risks and performance
Support project meetings and follow up on agreed actions
Work collaboratively with Project Managers, internal teams, clients and external stakeholders
Assist with maintaining accurate project records and documentation
Identify issues and support practical problem-solving
Contribute to continuous improvement across project processes and delivery
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Experience in project coordination, project management or a similar project delivery role
Solid organisational and time management skills
Ability to support multiple project activities and workstreams
Understanding of project reporting, risks, actions and performance tracking
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective stakeholder engagement skills




Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
Demonstrated initiative, adaptability and willingness to learn
Desirable:
Qualification in Project Management, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline
Experience working within infrastructure, consulting, government or Defence-related environments
Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project management software
Eligibility
The successful candidate will be required to:
Hold a valid WA Driver's Licence
Be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance
Successfully complete required background checks, including a National Police Clearance
Meet any additional security or site access requirements associated with the Defence project
