The role
Applications are sought for the position of Mining Engineer - Underground.
The responsibilities of this role will be:
Assist with mine designs, mining methods, equipment needs and recovery costs
Undertake production scheduling activities
Assist with ventilation surveys
Undertake shortterm planning activities
Develop drill and blast designs
Examine mining methods and equipment to investigate opportunities to improve
Monitor day to day mining operations against agreed plans and quality control standards
Scope, create and implement site instructions as required
Support the review of operating costs against budget
Project work as required

About you
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline
2+ years' experience in underground mining operations
Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
Skilled in computer aided design software, and proficient in creating drill & blast designs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Current WA C class driver's licence.
Underground time completed (highly desirable – not essential)
