We are seeking a dual-discipline HR & WHS Manager to lead our people and safety functions across our regional network.Are you an HR & Safety professional who thrives on variety?
Transwest Fuels is looking for a proactive leader to step out of the office and into the heart of our regional operations.
The Role
This is a critical leadership position where you will be the guardian of our company culture and the architect of our safety systems.
You will balance technical compliance with "boots on the ground" engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
WHS & Insurance: Manage annual ICARE insurance renewals and act as the primary Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator.
Safety Leadership: Conduct monthly safety meetings across all sites and drive a "best practice" safety culture.
HR Management: Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management (PIPs and disciplinary actions).
Training & Compliance: Ensure all staff are trained in Company SOPs and lead the rollout of new procedures in coordination with Site Management.
Operational Excellence:
Continuously audit and improve WHS functionality to ensure legislative compliance and operational safety.
Retail: Support the directors and operational staff in the day-to-day operations.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for a professional who is firm, fair, and highly organized.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a dedicated HR and/or WHS role, ideally within multisite operations.
Strong technical knowledge of ICARE processes and RTW coordination.
The ability to travel across our New England/Northwest network as required.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence staff at all levels.
Desirable Qualifications:
Cert IV in WHS: To ensure our safety systems meet rigorous standards.
Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent): To lead the development and delivery of our SOPs.
Formal HR Qualification: (Diploma or Degree) to support your expertise in industrial relations and performance management.
