Detailed Description
The Architecture Practice is driven by a passion for enabling exceptional digital experiences for students, academics and skilled staff.
The team works closely with stakeholders across UTS to define technology direction, establish architectural standards and shape solutions that align with the University's strategic objectives.
As part of a collaborative and highly experienced architecture community, you will contribute to a culture that values innovation, knowledge sharing and continuous professional development.
The team embraces flexible working practices, with a minimum of two days per week on campus, including regular team collaboration days.
About the Role
As a Solution Architect, you will design scalable, secure technology solutions that align with UTS's strategic objectives and enterprise architecture framework.
Working across the Business Operations Technology (BOT) portfolio, you will partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical solution designs and provide architectural guidance across platforms including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Workday, Optimizely and AWS.
You will ensure solutions align with architecture standards, security requirements and technology roadmaps while delivering positive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solution architectures that support strategic and operational objectives.
• Design end-to-end technology solutions that integrate effectively with existing systems and align with enterprise architecture principles.
• Produce and maintain architecture artefacts including solution designs, models, specifications and implementation guidance.




• Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight throughout project and delivery lifecycles.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend platforms, tools and approaches that support business and technology objectives.
• Participate in architecture governance activities and ensure solutions comply with established standards, policies and best practices.
• Support delivery teams and stakeholders throughout implementation to ensure successful solution outcomes.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of architectural standards, patterns and practices across the University.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends and opportunities that can deliver value to UTS.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead or similar architecture-focused role within a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, solution design methodologies and frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions across one or more domains including business applications, integration, data, security, cloud or infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical and scalable solution designs.
• Experience producing architecture artefacts, including solution designs, architecture models, specifications and design patterns.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of security, compliance and governance considerations within enterprise solution design.
• Experience working within agile, cross-functional delivery teams and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience with any of the following technologies will be highly regarded:
• Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud• Optimizely• ServiceNow• Microsoft 365• Protecht and Riskware• Boomi, AWS, Kafka and Denodo• Workday

RemunerationA competitive remuneration package will be offered.This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
This position is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis for up to 12 months as maternity leave cover.
Flexible working arrangements are available, with team members typically working a minimum of two days per week on campus.
