An established national organisation operating across mining, electrical infrastructure, engineered products and manufacturing is seeking an experienced Project & Production Scheduler to join its Orange operations.
This is a key planning role sitting between Project Delivery and Manufacturing, responsible for ensuring project milestones, engineering deliverables, procurement requirements and workshop capacity are aligned to meet delivery commitments.
The Role
Working closely with Project Managers, Workshop Managers, Engineering and Procurement, you will:
Develop and maintain integrated project and production schedules
Coordinate project milestones with engineering, procurement, manufacturing and workshop capacity
Maintain 2, 4, 8 and 12-week look-ahead schedules
Monitor workshop loading, labour requirements and production capacity
Track critical milestones and identify potential delays, bottlenecks and scheduling risks
Monitor engineering releases, drawings, BOMs, material availability and procurement lead times
Provide clear visibility of schedule changes and their impact across the business
Assist with recovery planning when projects or production fall behind schedule
Maintain accurate master schedules, forecasts and progress reporting
Support continuous improvement of scheduling systems, processes and reporting
About You
You may currently be working as a Project Scheduler, Project Planner, Production Planner,
Production Scheduler, Maintenance Planner or Project Controls Planner/Scheduler.
Ideally, you will bring:
Experience within project scheduling, production planning, workshop planning, project controls or manufacturing
Exposure to mining, electrical infrastructure, engineered products or workshop-based environments
Strong understanding of critical paths, resource/capacity planning and schedule risk
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and competing operational priorities
Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence challenging unrealistic dates or assumptions
Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 and/or advanced Excel
Exposure to Dynamics 365, Business Central, Power BI or other ERP/manufacturing systems would be advantageous
You will be structured, practical and detail-focused, with the ability to work across multiple operational teams and identify scheduling issues before they impact delivery.
