Focused on single vineyard wines from 3 regions, Mornington Peninsula, Tasmania and Heathcote.
Our cellar door is located in Tuerong and is open 7 days a week for tastings and lunch.
POSITION OUTLINE:
To manage all the cellar door wine operations at Yabby Lake.
We require a motivated and hands‐on individual who can develop and manage the total wine experience at cellar door.
This is a full time position working from Tuesday‐Saturday. (adaptable)
Key responsibilities:
- Curate the total wine experience.
- Format restaurant wine list and by the glass offerings.
- Train and mentor staff to develop critical wine skills.
- Facilitate and conduct wine tastings for customers.
- Evolve retail offering.
- Grow direct sales, wine club and mailing list.
- Develop key partnerships with local and regional businesses.
- Manage and develop social media accounts and presence.
- Assist in managing website and web sales.
- It is a hands‐on role, combining on the tasting bench and in the office.
Essential experience/qualifications:
- WSET qualified or equivalent.
- Budgeting and proficient use of associated software.
- Positive attitude.
- Customer and sales focus.
- Responsible service of alcohol.
- Wine industry knowledge and experience.
