Seeking Experienced Commercial Beekeepers; One with at least 5 years commercial beekeeping experience and one with at least 2 years. We are a family-owned migratory beekeeping operation currently running 1500 hives and expanding to 2500. We produce quality artisan raw honey, quality eucalypt honey and offer spring pollination services. We are proud to be one of the few Certified Organic apiary operations running both conventional and Certified Organic hives.

With the arrival of varroa mite in Victoria last season our daily operations have become more demanding. Varroa brings a new challenge to beekeeping and in order to keep our hives healthy we must be proactive in how we manage this current pest. To date we have successfully managed our varroa numbers exclusively with organic treatments and cultural practices and hope to be able to continue this approach.

The job is based at Marraweeney VIC however our apiaries migrate throughout Victoria and southern NSW, including many quite remote forest areas.
