Tumby Bay Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical, Psychiatric and Surgical (MPS) unit on a seven-week contract from late August through mid-October 2026. Based in rural South Australia, this role offers the chance to work across emergency, acute, and aged care settings in a close-knit healthcare environment. The position is offered at 0.63 to 1.0 FTE, with a salary range of AUD69.42 to AUD92.71 per hour, plus a rural and remote allowance. Staff may be redeployed across different areas depending on operational needs and skill mix requirements.

Preferred Requirements





- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Experience working in mixed acute care environments, ideally including emergency or aged care
- Ability to work flexibly across different clinical areas and adapt to changing operational needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team
- Willingness to work a rotating roster including shifts as required

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in rural or remote healthcare settings is advantageous
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
