Supply Chain Finance Manager - Manufacturing
$155,000 - $170,000 + Super + 15% Bonus | Northern Suburbs Melbourne | Hybrid

The Position
Following a restructure within the ANZ finance function, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Supply Chain Finance Manager to take financial leadership across three Melbourne manufacturing sites.
Based from the company's Northern Suburbs manufacturing facility,
you will have direct financial ownership of the site while providing oversight across the broader Melbourne manufacturing network. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.
You will lead and develop two direct reports while partnering closely with Plant Managers, Operations, Supply Chain and senior finance leadership.
This is not a behind-the-desk finance position. The successful candidate will be expected to understand what is happening within the manufacturing operations, investigate performance and cost variances, challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop two finance professionals supporting the manufacturing network
- Provide financial leadership and oversight across three Melbourne manufacturing facilities
- Review product costing, manufacturing costs, labour, yield, inventory and operational performance
- Partner closely with Plant Managers and operational leadership to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, FP&A; and manufacturing performance analysis
- Investigate cost and performance variances and provide meaningful commercial insight to the business
- Drive automation,
process improvement and standardisation across plant finance processes
- Support CAPEX evaluation, working capital management and cost optimisation initiatives
- Improve reporting, controls and consistency across the manufacturing network
The Candidate
This position requires someone with a strong technical grounding in manufacturing finance and product costing, combined with the personality and leadership capability to influence people outside of finance.
You will ideally have:
- Approximately 5-7+ years' experience within costing, plant accounting, supply chain finance or manufacturing finance
- Strong product costing experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience within a product manufacturing business is essential
- At least 1-2 years' experience leading, mentoring or developing finance staff
- Strong understanding of manufacturing costs, inventory, budgeting, forecasting and operational finance
- Proven ability to partner with Plant Managers, Operations and Supply Chain teams
- A proactive and inquisitive approach - someone prepared to investigate issues rather than simply report the numbers
- Experience driving process improvement, automation and standardisation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
- Degree qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
- SAP experience will be highly regarded
