About Our Client

Our client is a leading provider within the precast and construction industry, with a busy yard environment requiring experienced forklift operators to safely move products and load trucks. They are seeking experienced and reliable Forklift Operators with solid yard hand experience to join their Welshpool team. This is an ongoing opportunity with the potential to transition to permanent employment for the right candidate.

What you will be Doing

We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to work within a busy precast yard environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely moving precast products, loading and unloading trucks, and operating forklifts ranging from 2.5T to 18T. This is a hands-on position suited to candidates who are comfortable working outdoors, performing manual tasks and maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Duties include:

- Operating forklifts ranging from 2.5T to 18T to safely move precast products around the yard
- Loading and unloading trucks and ensuring products are positioned securely
- Assisting with general yard hand duties as required
- Safely handling and positioning precast products
- Conducting routine equipment and safety checks
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily operational requirements





What you will need

- Current High Risk Forklift Licence
- Minimum 2 years relevant forklift operating experience
- Previous yard hand or precast yard experience highly regarded
- Experience operating larger forklifts, including up to 18T, highly regarded
- Ability to safely perform manual handling and physical duties
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening (DAS)
