About the role:
This Intern Pharmacist position is a 12-month training position in which a Pharmacy graduate from either the Bachelor or Masters course (or equivalent qualification) is given the chance to gain the necessary skills and experience to satisfy the requirements for registration as a pharmacist in Australia.
As the Intern Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:
- Provision of a clinical pharmacy service in accordance with the SHPA Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy Services.
- Participating in Ward rounds with clinical pharmacists, undertaking medication reconciliation on admission and transfers of care.
- Attending orientation, training and staff meetings as required
- Participating in departmental Quality Assurance activities

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
1. Successful attainment of an Australian recognised Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy Degree.
2. Excellent knowledge of pharmacology and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical situations.
3. Ability to work effectively as an individual or as a member of a team.
4. A good understanding of the role of the Hospital Pharmacist in achieving optimal healthcare outcomes
5. Current Australian working rights
