About the role

We are looking for a psychologist to join an established private psychology practice in Geelong as an independent contractor.

This role is designed for a psychologist who values clinical autonomy and flexibility, but doesn't want the administrative burden of running a practice entirely on their own.

You will have the freedom to develop and manage your own caseload, determine your preferred working arrangements and maintain your own professional interests, while having access to established practice systems, administrative support and a professional practice environment.

A different approach to private practice contracting

This is a contractor role with a different approach to the traditional private practice fee split.



Your percentage increases as your billings grow, meaning higher levels of clinical activity are rewarded with a greater share of your billings.

The service agreement is designed to provide psychologists with the autonomy and earning potential of private practice, while providing the infrastructure and support of an established clinic.

There are no non-compete clauses and no restraints on your other professional work. You can continue to maintain other professional roles, work elsewhere or develop your own professional interests alongside this role.

About you

We are open to psychologists from a range of backgrounds and areas of clinical interest. You must be currently registered with AHPRA, with 2+ years of postgraduate clinical experience preferred.

We are particularly interested in psychologists with experience or clinical interests in:

- Psychological assessment, particularly paediatric, developmental or educational assessment.

- Educational and Developmental Psychology.

- Neuropsychology, particularly psychologists with an interest in assessment.

- General counselling and psychological therapy, including anxiety, mood, stress and everyday mental health presentations.





- Neurodevelopmental presentations, where this aligns with your interests and experience.

Experience across children, adolescents and adults is welcome, although we are also open to psychologists whose practice is focused on a particular age group or clinical area.

Endorsement is not a prerequisite for the role. We welcome General, Clinical, Educational & Developmental, Neuropsychology and other AHPRA-registered psychologists.

We are looking for psychologists who are confident working independently, value clinical autonomy and take a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to their work.

About the practice

The practice is an established private psychology service in Geelong with a strong focus on providing high-quality, individualised psychological care.

The practice infrastructure, systems and referral pathways are already established, allowing you to spend your time where it matters most: with clients.

This is an opportunity to build a rewarding private practice caseload without needing to start from zero or take on all of the administrative and business responsibilities associated with running a standalone practice.
