About the role

Working alongside our experienced drafting and production team, you'll learn how to turn architectural plans, site information and client requirements into accurate production drawings for our factory and installation teams. This is a practical drafting role where your drawings will become real joinery used in retail, office, medical and other commercial fitouts.

Key responsibilities

- Read and interpret architectural plans, specifications and elevations
- Use Pytha 3D CAD software to model commercial joinery
- Prepare detailed production and construction drawings
- Create accurate cutting information and documentation for manufacturing
- Check measurements, materials, hardware and construction details
- Make drawing changes following internal reviews and client feedback
- Liaise with our drafting, estimating, project and production teams
- Help identify potential design or construction issues before production
- Maintain accurate drawing files and project documentation
- Follow company drafting standards and processes

About you

- Is genuinely interested in drafting, design, construction or manufacturing
- Is confident using computers and able to learn current software
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right




- Has good numeracy, measurement and problem-solving skills
- Can follow instructions and accept constructive feedback
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage deadlines
- Communicates well and works as part of a team
- Has a practical mindset and wants to understand how joinery is manufactured
- Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Cabinet Vision or other CAD software would be an advantage, but it is not essential
- Experience in cabinetmaking, construction, design, engineering or technical drawing would also be highly regarded
