The Opportunity

An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Operations Manager to join a well-established landlord and oversee a portfolio of shopping centres.

This is not a role where you'll be managing a single asset from behind a desk. You'll play a hands-on role across multiple centres, taking ownership of day-to-day operations, contractor management, compliance, maintenance programs, and capital works while working closely with Centre Management teams.

With a strong focus on long-term asset performance and retailer experience, this role offers the variety, autonomy, and responsibility that many Operations Managers are looking for but rarely find.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all hard and soft services across the portfolio
- Oversee contractor engagement, inductions, and performance
- Drive preventative and reactive maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with all WHS, risk, and statutory requirements
- Assist in the preparation and management of OPEX and CAPEX budgets
- Coordinate minor works and capital projects
- Support tenancy coordination and retailer works
- Build strong relationships with contractors, retailers, and internal stakeholders

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in retail property, shopping centres, commercial property, or a similar environment
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, or operations management
- Strong understanding of WHS, compliance,



and risk management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Financial and reporting literacy
- The ability to prioritise competing demands and work autonomously
- Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, or a trade background (highly regarded)
- A genuine passion for retail property
