Forklift Operator / Labourer
$37.64 per hour — $46.67 per hour

About the Role

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Forklift Operators/Labourers to join a busy recycling facility based in Yatala.

This is a hands-on position that combines forklift operation, recycling machinery operation, material handling and general labouring duties. The successful candidates will be comfortable working in a physical environment and happy to assist across different areas of the facility as required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Safely operate forklifts to move recyclable materials and products around the facility
- Load and unload recyclable products, materials, machinery and equipment
- Assist with the operation of recycling equipment and machinery
- Load and feed materials into recycling machinery as required
- Monitor recycling equipment and report any issues to supervisors
- Perform general manual labour and material handling duties
- Assist forklift operators and other team members as required
- Move and organise materials throughout the yard and processing areas
- Keep work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards
- Perform general housekeeping and yard maintenance
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

- Current LF Forklift Licence – Essential




- Previous forklift operating experience
- Experience in recycling, manufacturing, warehousing or a similar environment is highly regarded
- A willingness to perform general labouring and manual handling duties
- Comfortable working around machinery and in an outdoor/industrial workplace
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive manual tasks
- Strong safety awareness
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision

Shift Times & Pay Rates
Monday to Friday

- Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm — $37.64 per hour + penalties
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm — $42.91 per hour + penalties
- Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am — $46.67 per hour + penalties
