We are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join a specialist insurance underwriting team based in Sydney CBD.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in insurance, with the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of specialty underwriting within an experienced and supportive team.
Previous experience in insurance, particularly underwriting, broking or policy administration, would be beneficial but is not essential. The right attitude, attention to detail, willingness to learn and overall cultural fit are more important. The technical aspects of underwriting can be taught.

The Role
Working closely with the underwriting team, you will provide administrative and operational support across the underwriting process. This will include assisting with documentation, policy administration, processing information, maintaining accurate records and supporting the broader team with day-to-day requirements.

You will gain exposure to the specialty insurance market and develop an understanding of underwriting processes, systems and practices as your experience grows.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:

- Interested in building a long-term career in insurance




- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicating with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Comfortable working with systems, documentation and data
- Reliable, proactive and willing to learn
- A strong team player who takes pride in producing accurate work
- Ideally experienced in an insurance, financial services or administrative environment, although this is not essential

This role would suit someone early in their insurance career who is looking for an opportunity to learn, develop and establish themselves within the insurance market.
