Tired of being one voice in a sprawling IT team, chasing tickets that never really get closed? At Aster, you won't be lost in a queue, you'll own the whole system. We're looking for a hands-on IT Systems Administrator who wants autonomy, a seat at the table and the satisfaction of building something that works.
About Us:
Aster Home Care was built by nurses who got tired of the same frustrations you have, so they created something better. We're a Northern NSW & Southeast QLD based community nursing provider that is run by nurses, for nurses. Our team delivers exceptional 24/7 care to clients in their own homes, and the people leading that work are the same ones shaping how it's done. At Aster, everything we do is guided by our BRAVE values, and we look for people who live them too.
B – Bold Decisions R – Remember & Respect A – Anchored in Excellence V – Value Each Other E – Elevate Our Team
About the Role:
As our IT Systems Administrator, you'll be the sole IT resource for a 24/7 community nursing service, working directly with our Nursing General Manager to own the systems roadmap. You'll be the first responder when something breaks and the person who makes sure it doesn't happen again.
This includes:
- Administering our SharePoint records storage and Pulse intranet, including permission groups and access.
- Managing starter, mover and leaver access provisioning, and building onboarding/offboarding processes as system features rather than manual admin.
- Administering our 3CX telephony platform and MessageMedia messaging, including phone group management and weekly call reporting.
- Managing Workspace ONE mobile device management across our field and office fleet.
- Leading information security and business continuity: incident response, patching, and backup/restore testing.
- Building and maintaining the Power BI dashboards our business runs on.
- Writing explicit how-to documentation and IT policy for a non-technical team.
Why Join Aster Home Care?
At Aster, you'll do work that matters and you'll see the impact every day. You'll have genuine ownership of your domain, direct access to leadership and the autonomy to bring decisions rather than just questions. You won't be one of many in a large IT team; you'll be the person who makes the whole thing run.
In addition to a competitive package, you'll enjoy a generous birthday bonus, employee referral incentives and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Role Requirements:
Naturally, you will require relevant experience and qualifications including:
- Demonstrated experience administering business systems end to end (accounts, permissions, integrations and change control).
- Microsoft suite knowledge, including Defender.
- Experience with identity and access management (starter, mover, leaver provisioning).
- Experience administering a VoIP or cloud telephony platform, with call reporting.
- Experience with mobile device management across a distributed, non-office workforce.
- Practical information security capability, including incident response, patching, and backup/restore testing.
- Ability to write clear how-to documentation for non-technical staff.
- Ability to work autonomously as the sole IT resource, and know when to escalate.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business dashboards in Power BI or equivalent.
- National Police Clearance and right to work in Australia.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with 3CX, Omnissa Workspace ONE, SharePoint, or MessageMedia specifically.
- Experience in healthcare, aged care or another regulated environment.
- Familiarity with the Privacy Act 1988 and Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or IT/security certification.
- Power Automate and Power App capability.
