Position Overview
Based at our Heathwood site, Civilmart is seeking a Business Manager to help grow our AusPits business across Queensland.
This is a hands-on role focused on winning work, building relationships and making sure projects move smoothly from opportunity through to delivery.
You'll work closely with our Sales, Estimating, Engineering and Production teams to identify new opportunities, support tender submissions and strengthen relationships with contractors, consultants and government clients. You'll also play a key role in managing project pipelines and supporting the successful delivery of major civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new opportunities across civil infrastructure, utilities, road, rail and major projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, consultants and government clients.
- Get involved early in projects and promote Civilmart's precast solutions.
- Support initiatives to grow revenue and expand our presence in key markets.
- Work with the Sales Team to turn leads and enquiries into awarded work.
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities and keep forecasts and reporting up to date.
- Represent Civilmart at client meetings, industry events and networking functions.
- Understand customer requirements and help deliver practical solutions.
- Assist with tenders, bids, proposals and other project submissions.
- Keep up to date with market activity, upcoming projects and competitor movements.
- Work closely with project teams to support a smooth transition from award through to delivery.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Drafting, Production and Finance to meet customer and project requirements.
- Identify opportunities for new products, applications and market growth.
- Provide input on pricing, project risk and commercial decisions.
- Support and mentor Project Coordinators while helping drive positive customer outcomes.
About You
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales or commercial roles within the civil construction, infrastructure, manufacturing or precast industries.
- Ability to build strong relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Experience working with tenders, bids and major project opportunities.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability.
- Confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep opportunities moving.
- Robust problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams.
- Leadership experience or the ability to guide and support others.
