About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join our Bristile Roofing team based in Dandenong, Victoria. Reporting to the VIC Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of accurate and high-quality roofing quotations, reviewing tender documentation, and ensuring tailored estimating solutions are delivered to support our customers and business.

You will lead and support the estimating team, driving consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across estimating activities. You will also play a key role in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve estimating processes, systems, and overall team performance, while collaborating with and providing support to other departments as required.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Lead and oversee the estimating and pricing function, ensuring accurate, competitive and commercially sound roofing quotations are prepared within required timeframes.
• Review tender documentation, project requirements, costs and risks to ensure accurate estimating, pricing and commercial outcomes.
• Review and approve pricing and quotations, ensuring margins, costs and commercial requirements align with business objectives.
• Lead, support and develop the estimating team, providing guidance and direction to ensure consistency, accuracy and high-quality outcomes.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, provide tailored estimating and pricing solutions, and deliver a high level of customer service.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve estimating and pricing processes, systems, and overall team performance.
• Prepare and analyse monthly reports, monitoring relevant estimating, pricing, workload and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.




• Maintain strong technical and industry knowledge while collaborating with other departments and providing support on relevant projects and operational requirements.

Success Requirements:

• Proven experience in roofing estimating, construction estimating or a related building industry role, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of roofing products, systems and services, with an understanding of relevant industry practices and company policies and procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Robust attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess issues, diagnose requirements and develop practical solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD-based programs and estimating software.
• A relevant building, construction, estimating or trade qualification will be highly regarded.
• A current driver's licence and White Card will be required where the role involves site inspections or construction site access.
• A proactive, motivated and results-driven approach, with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work and excellent customer outcomes.
