ATCO Structures & Logistics is a global leader in modular design, manufacturing and construction. Across Australia, we deliver workforce accommodation, permanent modular buildings and non-process infrastructure for some of the country’s largest resources and construction projects.
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Projects team in a site-based FIFO role, supporting the delivery of non-process infrastructure on a major mine site.
Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager and Site Supervisor, providing technical and project support across all aspects of construction while working directly with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
This is a project-based position with an approximate expected completion date of April 2027. With a growing pipeline of work, there may also be opportunities to move onto other ATCO projects following completion.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Project Manager and Site Supervisor with day-to-day project delivery
- Provide technical support across construction activities
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Conduct site inspections and assist in resolving technical and construction issues
- Coordinate design and construction documentation
- Prepare and manage RFIs and technical queries
- Assist with short-term look-ahead programs and provide input into the project schedule
- Monitor progress and contribute to project reporting
- Coordinate client inspections and project requirements
- Help ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards
What You’ll Bring
- Degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering
- Previous Project Engineer experience within construction
- Previous FIFO and site-based experience
- Ability to work a 2:1 FIFO roster
- Mine site, resources or non-process infrastructure experience highly regarded
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Confidence working directly with clients, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- A practical, positive approach and willingness to work as part of a busy project team
