About the role

Victorian Transport Company is offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated Junior Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Brooklyn, Victoria. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry while gaining hands-on experience working with a modern fleet of over 50 commercial vehicles. You will work alongside experienced mechanics to develop practical skills in servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance of heavy vehicles.

Key responsibilities

- Assist Head Mechanic with servicing, repairs, and maintenance of heavy vehicles and trailers
- Support scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance tasks
- Learn to diagnose mechanical faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop setting
- Assist with maintaining accurate service records and parts documentation
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Actively participate in training and development as part of your apprenticeship
- Truck and Trailer Washing




- Driving Company Ute to collect Parts from Suppliers

- Genuine interest in heavy vehicles and mechanical work
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Basic computer skills
- Good command of English
