Due to an internal promotion, HenderCare is seeking an experienced and passionate Positive Behaviour Support Team Lead to join our growing Allied Health team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to step into a leadership role, providing clinical guidance, mentoring, and quality oversight while continuing to maintain a clinical caseload.

About the Role

As the Positive Behaviour Support Team Lead, you will lead and support our Behaviour Support Practitioners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred services. You will provide practice leadership and quality oversight of Positive Behaviour Support Plans, with a strong focus on improving quality of life and reducing and eliminating restrictive practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead, mentor, and provide supervision to Behaviour Support Practitioners at all levels.

- Demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.

- Support practitioners with complex behavioural and functional analysis, risk assessments, and clinical decision-making.

- Maintain clinical caseload and develop high-quality PBS plans.

- Collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including parents, families, carers, and other service providers.

- Provide practice leadership across various settings, including monitoring referrals, team capacity, service quality, and clinical outcomes.

- Support clinical induction, performance and professional development, and capability building.

- Identify practice risks and opportunities for continuous improvement, including ensuring competency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Our Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner ready to take the next step in your career and support the development of other practitioners. You excel in planning, implementing, and evaluating behaviour support plans, leading by strong example in your own clinical work.

You will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Developmental Education or another relevant allied health discipline.





- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in providing Positive Behaviour Support, with team lead experience desirable.

- Eligibility to work as a PBS Practitioner under the NDIS (Must hold a suitability letter by the NDIS Commission). Endorsement as an Advanced or Specialist Practitioner is desirable.

- Strong knowledge of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and restrictive practice requirements.

- A commitment to evidence-based, person-centred practice and continuous professional development.

- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, with commitment to ongoing service development.
