We have the exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic new team member to join our specialist Orthodontic practice in Footscray. We are a small clinic with one orthodontist and two hygienists and run a friendly, family focused practice.

We are looking for a candidate with at least 6-12 months of dental experience; experience in orthodontics is valued but not required. The main attribute we are looking for is commitment to the job and the other members in our team.

In this role you will have the unique opportunity to learn every aspect of working in an orthodontic practice. Highlights of the role include:

Your role will include:

- Assisting the orthodontist and hygienist chairside for all procedures.

- Clinical photography and intra-oral scanning.

- Maintaining a well-stocked and organised clinic.

- Sterilisation duties.

- Assisting at reception when required.

- Problem-solving - helping the clinic run smoothly and efficiently.

- Corresponding with patients and practitioners - both written and verbal.

The position is permanent part/full time equivalent (approximately 34 hours per week)



with the days required being Monday to Thursday 8am - 5.15pm. Enjoy a long weekend every week and there are NO weekends or late nights required. You must be available to work during school holidays as it is our busiest time.

Other attributes of the successful applicant will include:

- Advanced fluency in English is required for both spoken and written communication

- Vietnamese speaking is also highly regarded

- Excellent communication skills, particularly at the front desk and on the phone

- Extremely reliable with a motivated and positive attitude

- A warm, friendly personality

- The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

- Exceptional attention to detail

- Computer literate (we use a dental software called OrthoTrac)

- Cert III / IV in dental assisting would be an advantage

- The ability to satisfy current requirements to work in healthcare
