Shifts & Pay

- Casual employment (TFN).

- Competitive SCHADS Award rates from $35 - $40.00 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading, depending on experience and qualifications).

- Shift times available: 6am-2pm OR 2pm-10pm with 10pm-6am Sleepover. (Must be Versatile)

- Wollongong (SIL & Drop in sites)

About the Role

We are seeking Disability Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants with complex mental health, psychosocial and behavioural support needs.

You'll be resilient, calm under pressure and confident supporting complex behaviours while building genuine rapport with participants. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll help promote independence, recovery and meaningful outcomes.





Please note the role in Douglas Park supports a male participant and personal care is required by male support workers.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing Personal Care support

- Managing Behaviours of Concern using proactive de-escalation strategies.

- Following Positive Behaviour Support Plans, Medication plans and individual care plans, including authorised restrictive practices where required.

- Using Trauma-Informed care and recovery-oriented approaches to support participants.

- Assisting with daily living tasks, meal preparation and medication support.

- Supporting participants to engage with their community and achieve their individual goals.

- Maintaining accurate incident and shift reporting documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience supporting people with complex care needs, including personal care, mental health, psychosocial disability, neurological conditions and behaviours of concern.

- Experience or a good understanding of Restrictive Practices.

- Strong communication skills.

- An enthusiastic and engaging personality.

- A reliable, flexible, professional and person-centred approach to support.

Requirements

- Current Australian Driver Licence

- Own Vehicle

- Comprehensive Insurance on vehicle is preferred

- NDIS Worker Screening Check.

- Australian Police Check.

- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.

- Working With Children's Check.

- 100 points of ID
