About the role

Caliber Metal Roofing Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Roof Plumber / Labour to join our team in Brisbane. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career in the roofing trades. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in roof plumbing, metalwork, and general labour whilst developing the technical skills required to become a qualified tradesperson. This role is essential to supporting our operations and helping us deliver high-quality roofing and plumbing solutions to our clients across Brisbane and surrounding areas.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting experienced roof plumbers with the installation, repair, of metal roofing

2. Learning and applying secure work practices and following all health and safety regulations on site

3. Performing general labouring duties including material handling, site preparation, and tool maintenance

4. Measuring, cutting, and fitting roofing materials under supervision

5. Installing and sealing guttering, downpipes, and flashings

6. Assisting with metal fabrication and bending work as required

7. Maintaining a clean and organised work site and disposing of waste responsibly

8. Following technical drawings and specifications provided by senior tradespeople

9. Contributing to a positive team environment and communicating effectively with colleagues

What we're looking for

1. A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the roofing and plumbing trades

2. Willingness to learn and develop new skills through formal apprenticeship training

3. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, as roof plumbing requires working on roofs and elevated areas

4. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship

5. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality

6. Ability to work safely and follow all health and safety protocols without exception

7.



Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

8. A valid driver's licence is preferred

9. Year 10 or equivalent education or demonstrated commitment to gaining qualifications

10. No prior trade experience necessary – we will provide full training
