We are currently seeking a Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our clients Mechanical Maintenance team. You will play an important role in maintaining plant reliability, carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance, and supporting ongoing improvements across site equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown and preventative maintenance.

- Maintain and repair fixed and rotating equipment.

- Work across conveyors, fans, blowers, agitators and associated plant equipment.

- Complete mechanical inspections and identify potential equipment issues.

- Assist with plant improvements, equipment modifications and reliability initiatives.

- Interpret mechanical drawings, technical documentation and schematics.

- Accurately record maintenance activities and completed work within CMMS systems.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives including TPM and 5S.





- Work closely with the wider maintenance and operations teams.

- Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental procedures.

What You Bring to the Team

- Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting / Certificate III in Engineering.

- Previous experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, mining, mineral processing or a similar environment.

- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

- Experience maintaining fixed and rotating plant equipment.

- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety.

- A proactive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.

- Full Australian working rights.

Desirable Skills & Experience

- Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging or Gantry Crane tickets.

- Welding and basic fabrication experience.

- CMMS experience, particularly JDE, SAP or Oracle.

- Equipment alignment and tracking experience.

- Strong hydraulic fault-finding and repair skills.

- Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.
