Day by Day Early Intervention
Queenstown
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis (flexible for the right person). You'll manage a paediatric caseload spanning autism, developmental delay, CP, sensory processing, and fine/gross motor goals, working across our clinic, local schools, childcares, and family homes.
This role suits a confident, experienced clinician ready to contribute to a growing OT service, and mentor newer team members as we continue to expand.
About Us
Day by Day Early Intervention is a locally-loved, paediatric allied health practice based at our purpose-designed Therapy House at 125 Port Road, Queenstown. We provide Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy services to children and their families across Adelaide's western suburbs, with a warm, play-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to everything we do. We're a close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together, and we're growing steadily as our new Therapy House becomes a real hub for the local community.
Our Approach
We do things a little differently at Day by Day, and it's deliberate:
- Relationship-based therapy. We believe outcomes come from genuine connection, with the child, the family, and the people around them, so building real, trusting relationships is central to how we work.
- Routines-based intervention. Our clinical model is grounded in embedding therapy into everyday family and classroom routines rather than isolated compliance/deficits-based therapy, so the skills we build actually stick.
- A genuine no-burnout culture. We structure caseloads and expectations around what's sustainable, not what's maximally billable.
We'd rather keep good clinicians for years than churn through them.
- Deliberate, not exponential, growth. We grow our team to meet real local demand, not to chase scale for its own sake. That means you're joining a practice that stays close-knit and genuinely manageable, not one racing to expand at the cost of culture or care.
- Hyperlocal, relationship-rich referral networks. Because we stay focused on our local western suburbs community, our clinicians get to know key referrers, educators, and school/childcare staff by name, not as a rotating cast of unfamiliar faces. That familiarity makes collaboration easier and outcomes better for kids.
- Parent coaching, not just parent updates. We work alongside families to build their own confidence and skills, so therapy's impact extends well beyond session time.
- Educator coaching in real classrooms. We work directly with childcare and school staff to build sustainable, everyday strategies into the environments kids spend most of their time in.
- Preschool Boost supplier. As an approved Preschool Boost supplier, we're embedded in the early childhood system in a way that supports genuine, joined-up care for local families.
- Everything provided, and no toy bags encouraged.
What You'll be Doing
- Delivering evidence-based OT assessment and intervention for paediatric clients
- Writing explicit, family-friendly reports and NDIS documentation
- Working collaboratively with our Speech Pathology team on joint sessions and shared goals
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local schools, childcares, and referrers
- Supporting a positive, down-to-earth team culture
- Contributing to the continued growth and shaping of our OT service
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
- Solid experience working with paediatric clients, ideally within NDIS or private practice
- Confident working autonomously while genuinely valuing team collaboration
- Strong documentation and NDIS report writing skills
- A warm, engaging style that puts kids and families at ease
- Current driver's licence, RRHAN-EC, and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
What We Offer
- A beautiful, purpose-designed Therapy House
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Realistic, sustainable caseloads with full administration and tech support
- Genuine mentorship from our Principal Speech Pathologist and external clinical supervision from experienced OT (if required)
- $1,000/year professional development budget
- Flexible hours and working arrangements
- A supportive team who actually have each other's backs
