About the role

Stone-Tech Holdings Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Highly Skilled and detail-oriented Check Measurer | Stonework to join our team on a full-time basis in Smithfield, NSW 2164. This role is pivotal to ensuring the accuracy and quality of our stone products and installations. As a Check Measurer, you will be responsible for verifying measurements, dimensions, and specifications of stone materials and completed work to maintain our high standards of excellence. This position offers the prospect to work within a dynamic building trades environment where precision and attention to detail are paramount to our success.

Key responsibilities

- Accurately measure and verify Dimensions, stone materials, thickness, and surface specifications.

- Compare finished work against blueprints, drawings, and client requirements to identify any discrepancies

- Document all measurements and inspection findings in a clear and organised manner, maintaining accurate records

- Communicate with fabrication and installation teams regarding any measurement issues or required adjustments

- Assist in resolving disputes or concerns related to measurements and product specifications with clients

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with site health and safety requirements

- Support the continuous improvement of measurement and quality control processes

What we're looking for

- Proven high experience as a Check Measurer role within the stone industry





- Strong proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment, including digital calipers, tape measures, and laser measurement devices

- Excellent eye for detail with the ability to identify even minor discrepancies or defects

- Comprehensive understanding of stone types, finishes, and standard specifications within the industry

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specification documents accurately

- Sound knowledge of building codes and industry standards relevant to stone work and installation

- Strong organisational and documentation skills with proficiency in recording and reporting measurements

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with fabrication teams, installers, and clients

- Physical capability to perform the role, including standing, bending as required

- A commitment to health and safety principles and procedures in a building trades environment

- Previous experience with CAD software or digital measurement systems is preferred
