About the role

As a Mechanic at DGI Trading, your role is to utilise your mechanical skills and qualifications to dismantle and prepare machinery and components for supply within the international mining and construction markets.

Working under the direction of our Workshop Manager and working closely with our sales and logistics teams, this role involves the dismantling, inspection, reporting,



repair and refurbishment of OEM machinery and components. Key equipment brands include but are not limited to Caterpillar, Hitachi, Liebherr, Komatsu and O&K.;

Due to the global nature of our business, ad-hoc international travel may be offered to process equipment for delivery into Australia and direct-to-customer, globally.

Role Summary

- Utilise mechanical skills and qualifications to dismantle machines.

- Utilise mechanical skills and qualifications to inspect, repair and refurbish components.

- Maintain integrity of the internal stock system

- Use of CAT SIS to part number components and cross reference parts

- Maintain our fleet of plant and machinery onsite.

- Communicate with all staff on all levels especially in relation to the stock system.

Necessary Experience

- Exceptional mechanical qualification and experience

- Demonstrated experience with MS Word, MS Excel and related programs

- Demonstrated knowledge of CAT SIS software

- Inventory knowledge is highly regarded.
