We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Used Vehicle Manager to lead our Used Vehicle operation in Hervey Bay.

This is a key leadership position within our dealership and is suited to someone who understands that a successful used vehicle department is built through disciplined buying, strong inventory management, effective leadership and a relentless focus on performance.

We are looking for more than someone to manage the day-to-day operation.

We want an experienced leader who can take ownership of the department, identify opportunities, make strong commercial decisions and build a high-performing team and culture around them.

The Opportunity

As Used Vehicle Manager, you will have responsibility for the overall performance and direction of the department.

You will be expected to take an active role in:

- Accurately valuing and purchasing trade-in vehicles

- Proactively sourcing stock from multiple channels, including auctions, wholesalers, private sellers, online platforms and other acquisition opportunities

- Developing and maintaining the right stock profile for our market

- Managing inventory levels, ageing, pricing, gross and stock turn

- Identifying market opportunities and reacting quickly to changing conditions

- Leading, coaching and developing the Used Vehicle Sales Team

- Setting transparent expectations around activity, performance and customer experience

- Building a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement

- Working closely with Finance, Service, Reconditioning and New Vehicle departments

- Driving sustainable growth in volume, gross profitability and overall department performance

This role will provide significant scope for the successful applicant to influence how the department operates and where it goes next.

About You





You will already have a strong track record within automotive used vehicles and be confident operating in a commercially accountable leadership role.

We are looking for someone with:

- Proven experience as a Used Vehicle Manager or senior automotive sales leader

- Strong vehicle valuation and purchasing capability

- Demonstrated experience acquiring vehicles outside normal dealership trade-in channels

- A thorough understanding of used vehicle pricing, stock ageing, market movement and inventory management

- Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of department profitability

- The ability to make decisions quickly and confidently

- Experience leading, coaching and holding a sales team accountable

- A genuine focus on developing people and building a positive, performance-driven culture

- High personal standards, strong work ethic and a desire to continually improve
