About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking an experienced LV Fitter to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the site’s light vehicle fleet through effective servicing, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity located at our Paulsens Underground Project on a 15:13 roster ex Perth, Broome or Darwin.

Key responsibilities:

- Display a clear commitment to all company and statutory health, safety, environment and social responsibility policies and procedures.

- Manage the LV fleet on a daily basis to best meet the day’s requirements for safe production and adherence to the schedule in consultation with the Maintenance Foreman.

- Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance of the site’s light vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable and fit for purpose.

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and general vehicle faults and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimise vehicle downtime and maintain fleet availability.

- Conduct vehicle pre-starts, inspections and defect assessments,



ensuring identified defects are appropriately managed and rectified before vehicles are returned to service.

- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with site procedures, manufacturer requirements, relevant legislation, Australian Standards and safe work practices.

- Maintain a robust focus on preventative maintenance due to the remote nature of the operation and limited access to external mechanical and specialist support.

- Prioritise critical vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure essential operational, emergency response, medical and support vehicles remain available.

- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and mechanical issues across the site, including undertaking field repairs and underground breakdowns where safe and practicable.

- Monitor and maintain adequate stocks of critical spare parts, filters, oils, consumables and other vehicle components, recognising the extended lead times associated with a remote mining operation.

About You

- Australian-recognised Light Vehicle Mechanic trade qualification.

- Demonstrated experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing light vehicles.

- Ability to work independently as the sole LV Fitter on a remote mine site.

- Robust preventative maintenance and fault-finding skills.

- Ability to prioritise critical repairs and maintain high vehicle availability.

- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with limited access to external support and parts.

- Western Australian unencumbered “C” Class Drivers License.
