About the role We are hiring a Kids STEM Teacher to deliver hands-on Arduino, coding, electronics and robotics classes for children aged 8 to 12 in Melbourne.
This is a part time contractor role for someone who enjoys teaching children and can explain technical ideas in a simple, practical and engaging way.
Work arrangement - Contractor role paid at AUD $30 to $35 per hour.
Part-time schedule, 2 to 3 days per week.
Approximately 6 to 8 teaching hours per week, with potential for additional hours based on class demand.
In-person classes in Melbourne, Victoria.
Responsibilities - Teach Arduino, coding, electronics, robotics and STEM activities to children aged 8 to 12.
Prepare straightforward project-based lessons and classroom activities.
Create a safe, positive and age-appropriate learning setting.




Keep students engaged through practical demonstrations and hands-on projects.
Communicate student progress and classroom feedback when required.
Adjust lessons based on student age, ability and class performance.
Requirements - Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring or coaching children.
Knowledge of Arduino, coding, robotics, electronics or STEM education.
Patient, energetic and clear communication style.
Reliable availability for 2 to 3 days per week.
Ability to work as a contractor.
Nice to have - Experience teaching students aged 8 to 12.
Experience preparing project-based technology lessons.
Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
Pay AUD $30 to $35 per hour.
