An exciting prospect has become available for an experienced Financial Crime Operations leader to join a highly regulated Australian organisation.

Reporting into the Head of Financial Crime, you will lead a high-performing operations team responsible for customer due diligence, enhanced customer due diligence and transaction monitoring. This is a leadership-focused role where you'll be responsible for driving operational excellence, developing leaders and ensuring the function continues to meet evolving regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop Team Leaders and their Financial Crime Operations teams.
n
Drive the day-to-day performance of CDD, ECDD and Transaction Monitoring operations.
n
Foster a solid coaching culture, providing ongoing training and development to junior team members and emerging leaders.
n
Ensure operational activities are delivered in line with AML/CTF obligations, internal policies and regulatory expectations.
n
Monitor team performance, quality and productivity,



implementing process improvements where required.
n
Partner with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime, Technology and Operations to deliver business outcomes.
n
Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience while maintaining a robust risk and control environment.
n
Support operational change initiatives, regulatory projects and continuous improvement programs.
n

You'll bring:
n
n
Demonstrated experience leading Financial Crime Operations teams within banking, financial services, wagering, payments, insurance or another regulated industry.
n
Robust leadership experience managing Team Leaders and larger operational teams.
n
Hands-on knowledge of Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Transaction Monitoring and AML/CTF operations.
n
A track record of coaching, mentoring and developing junior analysts and people leaders.
