Tuckshop Convenor (Chef)

Commencement Date: Flexible for right candidate

Location: South Rock State School

Role: Casual - during the school term, school holidays off.

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Tuckshop Convenor to join our growing team at Cove Catering Services. Cove Catering Services is a private catering company that provides complete services to school canteens across South East Queensland.

The Tuckshop Convenor plays an important role in supporting the smooth daily operations of the South Rock State School Canteen.

This position involves;

- Plan and create menus

- Prepare and serve food

- Order supplies and managing stock levels

- Maintain food safety program

- Serve students, teachers and parents

- Wash up kitchen and dining resources

- Clean floors and surfaces to a food grade safety standard

- Rubbish removal





The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, and able to work in a busy environment.

They will need to demonstrate robust food handling skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, welcoming manner that reflects the school's values and commitment to providing quality service to students, staff, and the wider school community.

Requirements

- Blue card (Mandatory)

- Food Safety Certificate

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (desired)

- Strong experience working in a canteen or cafe

Benefits

- Monday - Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm (no nights, no weekends)
