Lead services that change the lives of young people across Western Australia.

We’re looking for an experienced, values-driven leader who can inspire teams, drive service excellence and support vulnerable young people to achieve safer, stronger futures.

The opportunity

Bright Futures is Outcare’s service for young people in out-of-home care. Reporting to the General Manager – Bright Futures, you will provide practical, visible leadership across the program and keep day-to-day delivery safe, consistent and focused on outcomes for young people. You will lead through Team Leaders and specialist staff, coordinate operational priorities across residential services, monitor performance and quality, and respond early when risks or service issues emerge. This is an established operational leadership role for someone who can bring clarity, sound judgement and steady follow-through in a complex service environment.

What you will lead

- Safe, consistent delivery of Bright Futures services in line with program frameworks, funding requirements and organisational standards.
- Capability, accountability and wellbeing of Team Leaders and program staff.
- Service performance, quality, demand and continuous improvement.
- Coordination of staffing, resources and operational priorities across residential services.
- Safeguarding, risk management, incident response and compliance.
- Effective working relationships with government, education and community partners.
- Use of data and operational insight to strengthen outcomes, impact and sustainability.
- Oversight of key cost and revenue drivers to support responsible program delivery.

About you

- You are an experienced service leader who can balance people leadership with operational discipline. You are comfortable making decisions, supporting leaders through difficult issues and maintaining high standards when priorities compete.
- A relevant qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Services or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in youth,

residential care or community services.
- Experience supervising leaders and service delivery teams.
- A solid understanding of out-of-home care, including connection to family and culture and the application of relevant legislation and practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead culturally safe, trauma-transformative practice with Aboriginal children, young people, families and communities.
- Experience supporting young people with complex needs, including trauma, justice involvement or family instability.
- Ability to monitor contract and service performance, manage competing priorities and implement practical improvements.
- Strong safeguarding judgement and stakeholder relationship skills.
