About the role
The US Consulate General is seeking a skilled and skilled Chauffeur to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) . Based in Perth, Western Australia , this role is essential to supporting the smooth operation of our consular activities. As Chauffeur, you will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and discreet transportation services to consulate staff, officials, and dignitaries. Hours are late afternoon /early evening.
Duties
Operating vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
- Transporting consulate personnel, visiting officials, and dignitaries to official meetings, events, and appointments
- Maintaining vehicles in excellent condition, including regular cleaning, servicing checks, and reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Planning optimal routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations whilst accounting for traffic conditions and scheduling requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and travel logs
- Assisting passengers with luggage and other items as required
- Adhering to all consulate security protocols and procedures
Skills and Experience
- A current, valid Australian driver's license with a clean driving record and no significant traffic violations
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience.
- Completion of High School
- Exceptional driving skills with a strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times
- Ability to pass a security clearance
