About the role

You will work across the full life of commercial projects, from design to construction and completion. This is a senior role with substantial skilled autonomy, supported by a small team and direct access to the people making decisions within the business.

Key responsibilities

- Assessing commercial projects against the NCC, WA building legislation and relevant Australian Standards

- Identifying and resolving compliance issues and providing practical technical and regulatory advice

- Preparing compliance assessments, technical reports and certification documentation

- Working directly with clients, architects, builders, consultants and authorities, including through project meetings

- Conducting inspections and building audits

- Managing your own projects and client relationships.

About you

- Level 1 Building surveying practitioner registration in Western Australia, or eligibility for equivalent registration in another Australian jurisdiction or New Zealand.

- At least 5 years' commercial experience

- Strong knowledge of the NCC and relevant regulatory requirements

- Sound professional judgement

- Strong client and communication skills

- The ability to manage commercial projects independently.
