Betta Port Pirie
Warehouse & Delivery Driver
Full-time | 6–12-month contract | Monday to Friday
About Us
Betta is where locals come for appliances they can rely on, backed by advice they can trust. We operate three stores across South Australia Seaford, Victor Harbor and Port Pirie.
For most of our customers, the delivery is the moment they judge us on. Getting the fridge in the door without a mark on the wall, getting the washer connected and running, and doing it with a bit of courtesy that's what earns the repeat business. We're looking for a reliable Warehouse & Delivery Driver to take that on for our Port Pirie store on a 6 to 12 month contract.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role split between our warehouse and the road. In the warehouse you'll receive and check stock, keep the space organised and safe, and prepare orders for delivery. Out on the road you'll deliver, install and connect appliances in customers' homes across Port Pirie and the surrounding district, and take away packaging and old units.
You'll be driving a company vehicle under 4.5 tonne, so a standard car licence is all you need.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse
- Receive, check and put away incoming stock, reporting any damage or discrepancies
- Pick and prepare customer orders and deliveries
- Keep the warehouse clean, orderly and compliant with safety requirements
- Assist with stocktakes and stock accuracy
- Move and handle appliances safely using correct equipment and technique
Delivery & Installation
- Deliver appliances to customers' homes on schedule and in good condition
- Unbox, position, install and connect appliances, including whitegoods, Tv's washing machines, dishwashers and furniture items such as beds and couches
- Remove packaging and take away old appliances where arranged
- Protect customers' homes floors, walls and doorways while working
- Represent Betta professionally on every job, and communicate clearly with customers about what you're doing
- Complete delivery paperwork and records accurately
About You
- Current, unrestricted South Australian driver's licence (Class C) with a clean driving record
- Be able to drive Automatic and Manul trucks
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular manual lifting, appliances are heavy so safe work practices need to be followed.
- Reliable and punctual, with a genuine commitment to safety
- Confident and courteous with customers in their homes
- Practical and mechanically minded, with basic hand-tool skills
- Good attention to detail with paperwork and stock records
- Able to work independently and as part of a small store team
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
Well regarded, but not essential:
- Previous delivery driving, warehouse or logistics experience
- Experience installing or connecting whitegoods
- Trade skills such as a builder/plumber trades assistant
- Forklift licence
- Truck licence (LR/MR)
- Local knowledge of Port Pirie and the surrounding region
What We Offer
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with a predictable roster
- A 6 to 12 month contract, with genuine potential for ongoing work for the right person

- A supportive, down to earth store team
- A generous recognition and reward program
