People & Operations Manager – Paediatric Allied Health

About Us
Therapies for Kids is an established paediatric Allied Health practice supporting children, young people and their families across Sydney and regional NSW. Our multidisciplinary team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Allied Health Assistants and a dedicated administration team.
We are seeking an experienced People & Operations Manager to work closely with our CEO and leadership team to oversee the people, operational and business functions of our practices.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands‑on management role reporting directly to the CEO, combining people management, practice operations, financial performance, NDIS compliance and executive support.
You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team, playing a key role in ensuring the practice operates efficiently, productively and profitably while maintaining high-quality, client‑centred service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day practice and administration operations.
- Lead and support Office Managers and administration teams.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, HR processes and workforce administration.
- Liaise with the outsourced Accounts team regarding payroll and tax matters.
- Monitor practitioner capacity, utilisation, productivity and operational KPIs.
- Support the CEO in achieving the practice’s productivity, profitability and financial goals.
- Participate in financial and business performance meetings and assist with implementing agreed initiatives and decisions.
- Support invoicing, outstanding accounts, payroll administration and financial processes.
- Maintain knowledge of NDIS best practice, Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and ensure relevant processes remain compliant.
- Oversee organisational compliance, employee checks and operational policies.
- Support the CEO and leadership team with business projects and organisational priorities.
About You
You are an experienced Allied Health operations or practice management professional who enjoys working with people, systems and numbers.
You are proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership. You can identify when something isn’t working, understand what the data is telling you and take practical steps to improve it.
To Be Successful, You Must Have:
- Availability for an immediate start
- Previous experience working in an Allied Health practice or organisation
- Experience in practice management, operations management or a comparable leadership role
- Robust knowledge and practical understanding of the NDIS
- Experience monitoring productivity, utilisation and financial or operational KPIs
- Experience managing or supervising administration teams
- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working with reports, spreadsheets and practice management systems
- The ability to manage competing priorities
- Appropriate Australian working rights
