What you will do
- Manage a complex caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline (PLO), and court proceedings.
- Provide professional support, mentoring, and case consultation to social workers,
newly qualified staff, and students.
- Lead on complex assessments, risk analysis, and safeguarding interventions in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and the Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
- Chair strategy discussions, professional meetings, and multi-agency planning meetings where required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Evidence of ongoing post-qualifying professional development.
- Practice Educator Award or a relevant supervisory qualification is desirable.
Registration and Compliance
- Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Experience
- Significant post-qualified experience within statutory children’s social care.
- Proven experience managing child protection, court, and safeguarding cases.
- Experience supporting or supervising social workers within a safeguarding setting.
