About the Role
OFL Logistics is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Yennora, NSW.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for researching, analysing and coordinating procurement and purchasing activities across our logistics, warehousing and supply-chain operations.
The position will work closely with management, warehouse and logistics personnel and external suppliers and service providers to assess procurement requirements, source and evaluate suppliers, analyse quotations and commercial arrangements, coordinate purchasing activities and monitor supplier performance.
The successful candidate will apply professional procurement and analytical skills to assist OFL Logistics in achieving cost-effective purchasing outcomes, continuity of supply and efficient procurement processes across its operations.

Task & responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and analyse the organisation's procurement and purchasing requirements and provide recommendations to management.
- Identify, research and evaluate potential suppliers, contractors and service providers to meet operational and commercial requirements.
- Source and obtain quotations, tenders and proposals from suppliers and service providers.
- Analyse and compare supplier quotations, pricing structures, commercial terms, quality standards and service capabilities.
- Provide professional advice and recommendations regarding supplier selection, procurement options and purchasing decisions.
- Negotiate pricing, purchasing terms, supply arrangements and service conditions with suppliers and service providers.
- Coordinate procurement and purchasing activities to support OFL's logistics, warehousing, freight and supply-chain operations.
- Liaise with warehouse and logistics personnel to analyse inventory levels, usage patterns and operational requirements and determine purchasing and replenishment needs.
- Monitor inventory and supply requirements to assist in maintaining continuity of supply while avoiding unnecessary purchasing and excess stock.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, contractors and service providers.
- Monitor and analyse supplier performance against agreed pricing, quality, quantity, delivery, reliability and service requirements.
- Investigate supplier performance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions or alternative supply arrangements.
- Analyse procurement expenditure, supplier pricing and purchasing trends to identify opportunities for cost reductions and improved procurement efficiencies.
- Research alternative suppliers, products and services and evaluate their suitability for the organisation's operational requirements.
- Assist management with the development, review and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, systems and purchasing controls.
- Coordinate purchase orders and procurement documentation and monitor orders through to delivery and completion.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal operational teams regarding purchasing requirements, order status, delivery schedules and supply issues.
- Coordinate procurement requirements associated with warehouse operations, freight services, transport activities and other operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing, quotation, procurement and contractual records.
- Analyse procurement and supply-chain information and prepare reports, supplier evaluations and recommendations for management.
- Identify inefficiencies within procurement and purchasing processes and recommend improvements to systems and procedures.
- Assist with forecasting future purchasing and supply requirements based on operational requirements and inventory information.
- Ensure procurement activities are undertaken in accordance with OFL Logistics' policies, commercial requirements and applicable procedures.
- Provide specialist procurement advice to management and relevant internal stakeholders regarding purchasing,
supplier and supply-chain matters.
Qualification & experience
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Have a related degree with 1 yeart of full time exprerience or atleast 5 years of full time rlested work experience will substitute
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, business or a related discipline.

- Relevant professional experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, supplier management or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and purchasing principles and processes.
- Experience researching, sourcing and evaluating suppliers and service providers.
- Experience obtaining, analysing and comparing quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pricing, costs and supplier arrangements.
- Demonstrated supplier negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Understanding of inventory management, warehousing, logistics and supply-chain operations.
- Ability to analyse purchasing and inventory information and make appropriate procurement recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder-management abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate procurement and commercial records.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
