An established national trade-supply business is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Manager to take ownership of its Rockhampton branch.

This is a genuine business leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the customer, leading from the front and taking accountability for performance.

You will have responsibility for the overall success of the branch - leading the team, developing customer relationships, driving sales, managing operational performance and building the business across the Rockhampton and broader Central Queensland trade market.

Supported by an experienced Regional General Manager and a strong national network, you will have the autonomy to make decisions locally and shape the future performance of the branch.

What you’ll be responsible for

As Business Manager, you will take ownership of:

- Leading the day-to-day performance of the Rockhampton branch.
- Developing and executing plans to grow sales, market share and profitability.
- Building strong relationships with plumbers, builders, contractors and commercial customers.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities throughout the local market.
- Leading, coaching and developing the branch team.
- Creating a strong customer-focused, accountable and commercially minded culture.
- Managing branch financial performance, including sales, margin, costs and profitability.
- Maintaining effective stock, operational and service standards.
- Ensuring safety, compliance and company standards are consistently maintained.
- Working closely with regional leadership to deliver sustainable growth.

About you

We are looking for someone who combines strong people leadership with genuine commercial capability.

You may already be managing a branch, store,



trade business or operational team, or you may be ready to step into broader business ownership.

You will ideally bring

- Proven experience leading a team within a sales, trade, retail, wholesale, construction or service environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of what drives business profitability.
- Demonstrated experience growing sales and developing customer relationships.
- Confidence engaging with trade and commercial customers.
- The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into sustainable business.
- A practical, visible and hands-on leadership style.
- Strong accountability for results.
- Sound operational and financial management capability.
- The ability to balance customer service, people leadership and commercial priorities.

Experience within plumbing, building products or trade distribution would be advantageous, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in strong business leaders from adjacent industries who understand customers, people and commercial performance.
