Itoh Talent Partners are proud to partner with a well-established, multi-national organisation for the recruitment of a Group Payroll Manager. Our client operates a large network of business centres across Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region, employing thousands of people, with corporate headquarters in Brisbane.

The Group Payroll Manager is responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant delivery of payroll services across a large, complex workforce operating under multiple industrial instruments and employment arrangements. Reporting to the Manager, People Services, the role leads a team of 8 payroll professionals and partners closely with People, Finance, Technology, Audit and the broader business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage payroll processing, including adjustments, terminations, leave, superannuation, statutory payments and query resolution.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, industrial and company requirements, including statutory reporting obligations.
- Prepare reconciliations and audit documentation, support internal and external audits, and maintain payroll governance and controls.




- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase automation, strengthen processes and enhance service delivery.
- Oversee payroll systems, including configuration, testing, upgrades and technology enhancements.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Coach and develop the payroll team to build capability and drive performance.

About You:

- 10+ years' experience in payroll processing within large, complex organisations.
- Proven experience managing multi-award, multi-frequency payroll operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a payroll team.
- Experience working with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Practical experience with Chris21 and Workday in a large corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and industrial instrument application.
- A relevant certification in payroll or business administration is desirable.
