Lead One of Australia's Fastest Growing Bathhouse Brands
Venue Manager | Soak Bathhouse Alexandria
$90,000–$100,000 + super + performance bonus of up to $1,400 per month
Soak is Australia's fastest growing bathhouse brand, creating beautiful spaces where people come to relax, recover and connect.
With multiple bathhouses operating across Australia and further expansion planned across Sydney and nationally, we're looking for an exceptional Venue Manager to lead Soak Bathhouse Alexandria, one of the busiest venues in our network.
This is more than an opportunity to manage a venue. It's an opportunity to build your career with a growing Australian wellness brand.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, wellness and people. Someone who cares deeply about creating memorable guest experiences, developing high-performing teams and maintaining exceptional standards.
This isn't a role for someone looking to keep the seat warm. We want a hands‑on leader who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems and wants to make a measurable impact on their venue, their team and the wider business.
You'll join a culture built around high standards, accountability, support and having fun while delivering great work. As Soak continues to grow, we want someone who has the ambition and capability to grow with us.
The Role
As Venue Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of Soak Alexandria.
You'll lead and develop the team, deliver an outstanding guest experience, drive commercial performance and ensure the venue operates safely, efficiently and to an exceptional standard.
This is a hands‑on leadership role. We don't lead from the office. You'll be visible on the floor, connected to your guests and team, and willing to step into the operation whenever needed.
Lead & Develop
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing venue team.
- Build a culture of accountability, positivity and exceptional hospitality.
- Recruit, onboard and develop team members as the venue and business grow.
- Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback, coaching and performance management.
- Create effective rosters aligned with labour budgets, booking demand and peak trading periods.
- Be the first point of contact for day-to-day operational and rostering matters.
Own the Guest Experience
- Set the standard for how every guest is welcomed, cared for and remembered.
- Ensure consistently high levels of guest satisfaction across the venue.
- Be visible and engaged on the floor, particularly during busy periods.
- Take ownership of guest feedback and complaints, finding positive and practical resolutions.
- Support the team to identify opportunities to enhance each guest’s experience.
Drive Performance
- Take ownership of venue performance across revenue, labour, guest satisfaction and other key operational targets.
- Drive revenue through add‑on sales, retail, memberships and exceptional guest experiences.
- Coach the team on effective and authentic upselling and cross‑selling.
- Understand venue performance and identify opportunities to improve results.
- Work closely with Soak's wider management team to deliver business priorities.
Run an Exceptional Operation
- Oversee day-to-day venue operations, including bookings, guest queries, refunds and massage operations.
- Coordinate massage therapists and ensure therapist scheduling is aligned with guest demand.
- Manage stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships.
- Ensure operational procedures and Soak standards are consistently followed.
- Maintain accurate administrative and operational records.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall operation of the venue.
Maintain Exceptional Standards
- Ensure the bathhouse is consistently clean, safe, hygienic and beautifully presented.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety and operational requirements.
- Ensure water testing and other required operational checks are completed accurately and on time.
- Lead from the front. When the venue is busy, you'll be willing to help wherever needed, whether that's supporting guests, restocking towels or helping the team reset the venue.
What We're Looking For
We're less interested in exactly where you've worked and more interested in what you've led and what you've achieved.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven experience leading teams in hospitality, hotels, spas, wellness, fitness, retail, airlines or another high-quality customer-facing environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, wellness and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and hold a team accountable.
- Commercial awareness and experience working towards revenue, labour and performance targets.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to confidently manage a busy, fast-moving operation.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and willingness to take ownership.
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation.
- Confidence using booking, rostering or scheduling systems.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Flexibility to work across weekends, evenings, school holidays and public holidays as required.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with energy, ambition and the desire to grow with Soak.
Salary & Benefits
The package includes:
- Base salary of $90,000–$100,000 + super
- Monthly performance bonus of up to $1,400
- Free access to Soak Bathhouse facilities
- Team discounts across Soak products and services
- The opportunity to build your career as Soak continues to expand across Sydney and Australia
Grow With Soak
We're building something exciting, and we want people who want to build it with us.
Alexandria is already one of our busiest bathhouses, but we're not standing still. As Soak continues to open current locations and grow across Australia, there will be opportunities for great people to take on bigger venues, broader responsibilities and future leadership roles.
If you're an ambitious hospitality leader who loves people, thrives in a busy environment and wants to be part of one of Australia's fastest growing wellness brands, we'd love to hear from you.
