We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Depot Manager to lead operations at our Lismore depot. This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe, productive and profitable running of a busy regional logistics site serving the Northern Rivers and beyond.

Reporting to the State Manager, you will have end-to-end accountability for depot performance. You will lead the team, oversee inbound and outbound freight, warehouse and yard activities, and drive service excellence, safety and cost control in a quick-paced environment.

Reporting to the State Manager, you will have end-to-end accountability for depot performance. You will lead the team, oversee inbound and outbound freight, warehouse and yard activities, and drive service excellence, safety and cost control in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily depot operations including receiving, sorting, storage, loading/unloading and dispatch

- Manage inbound linehaul, cross-dock and outbound freight to meet on-time and accuracy KPIs

- Lead, coach and develop depot staff, including recruitment, rostering,



training and performance management

- Drive WHS compliance and a strong safety culture - forklift operations, site standards, incident investigation and reporting

- Monitor and improve depot KPIs (productivity, scanning/POD accuracy, freight integrity, labour costs and profitability)

- Oversee site cleanliness, equipment (forklifts, fleet vehicles etc.) and general maintenance

- Coordinate with drivers, agents/subcontractors and internal teams to maintain service levels

- Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies

About You

You are a results-driven operational leader who thrives on the floor as well as in planning and reporting.

Essential:

- Proven experience managing a depot, warehouse or transport/logistics operation (ideally 2+ years)

- Strong people leadership and performance management skills

- Solid knowledge of WHS requirements and commitment to safety

- Ability to meet budgets, targets and service standards

- Excellent communication skills and a practical, accountable leadership style

- Current driver’s licence; forklift licence highly regarded
