The Corporate Affairs team is seeking a Senior Communications Advisor to join us and play a key role in helping us deliver strategic communications that supports government priorities and outcomes.

As a Senior Communications Advisor, you will provide expert communications advice and lead the development and implementation of integrated communication strategies that support organisational objectives and deliver positive outcomes for the community.

Working closely with project, policy and program teams, you will develop compelling communications approaches that connect with stakeholders and help bring complex initiatives to life across a variety of channels.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and strategic communicator who enjoys balancing big-picture thinking with hands‑on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic communications plans and campaigns that support departmental priorities and program outcomes.
- Coordinate the delivery of external communications across digital, web, social media and other communication channels.
- Provide trusted communications advice to project, policy and program teams, ensuring communications and stakeholder engagement approaches are effective and fit for purpose.

Operating in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects that help shape environmental outcomes for communities across NSW.

About You





You are an experienced communications professional with a proven ability to develop and deliver strategic communication initiatives in a complex environment. You bring excellent writing and stakeholder engagement skills, along with the ability to provide trusted advice to project, policy and program teams.

A confident relationship builder, you collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to deliver clear, engaging and impactful communications across digital, web and social media channels.

You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and use insights and emerging trends to continually improve communication outcomes.

You are also a supportive team member who enjoys sharing knowledge, contributing to team capability and working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.

Essential Requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent skilled experience.
