About the role

To represent Environmental Services Ward Support and Ancillary teams through the delivery of high-quality services, that meets the specific needs of Barwon Health whilst adhering to all policies and procedures. Assist to provide an efficient well trained PSA function at University Hospital Geelong by coordinating and providing training, develop policies and standard work practices, assist in problem solving both individually and as a group in conjunction with line managers.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and manage Environmental Services staff, including resource allocation, performance management, workflow coordination and day-to-day operational support.
- Ensure high-quality and timely service delivery by monitoring cleaning standards, conducting audits, addressing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement.
- Promote a safe and compliant workplace by managing incidents, hazards, OH&S; requirements, RiskMan reporting and injury management processes.
- Maintain effective administration, communication and compliance, including accurate documentation, reporting, customer relationships, adherence to policies and modelling Barwon Health values.

What we’re looking for

- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide, support and manage staff in a busy operational workplace.
- Excellent organisational and resource management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads,



coordinate staffing and meet service deadlines.
- Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement, with the ability to identify issues, implement solutions and maintain high service standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, manage operational matters and work collaboratively with staff and customers.
